The Great Wave off Kanagawa automaton - epic woodcut by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai. created in the late Edo period. (XIX century) This kinetic sculpture adds something new to this art with respect for the original. All materials used are recycled, for example the figure is hand carved in linden wood, the legs and pivots are made of aluminium. It will fit perfect on a shelf best visible only from the front.
